Academy Museum Ad Campaign

I wanted to create an advertising campaign for the new Academy Museum of Motion Pictures that is opening up in LA in 2019. I combined my love of design and my passion for moviemaking to create a direct mailer that could be unfolded into a poster. I showcased important trailblazers from the past and present to evoke a sense of knowledge and excitement for potential visitors of the museum. I used a blue halftone pattern of various renderings and blueprints of the museum combined with heavy photography for clarity. I also used gold accents and contrasting typefaces for interest and to emphasize the old school classiness of movie making and Hollywood glamour.  

For the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, I developed an advertising campaign and social media push that merged my passion for design and filmmaking. I created a direct mailer that unfolds into a striking poster, featuring trailblazers from the industry’s past and present. Utilizing a blue halftone pattern of museum renderings and blueprints, combined with bold photography, I aimed to evoke a sense of excitement and knowledge for potential visitors. Gold accents and contrasting typefaces were incorporated to capture the timeless elegance of Hollywood and the art of moviemaking.
